UNE JOURNEE POUR NETTOYER nOS BOITES MAILS
Our initiative comes from a very simple fact: each email sent emits at least 4g of carbon dioxide.
At a global scale, 281 000 000 000 e-mails are sent every day and thousands of mails are needlessly stored in our mailboxes.
The concept of #MAILCLEANUPDAY is simple : encourage people to clean their mailboxes and communicate their result by spreading the news through social media using the hashtag #MAILCLEANUPDAY !
On december 18, we will make the count ! Every hour your deleted e-mails will be converted into saved grams of CO2 !
HOW TO TAKE PART OF THE #MAILCLEANUPDAY ?
You can easily take part of it.
On that day, go to your mailbox, select all the unsolicited e-mails you’ve received so far (newsletter, adds, social media…) and erase them for good. You may use the finding tool in order to select e-mails according to the sendor’s identity. Do not forget spam !
Once this sorting out done, find the number of emails you’ve reached to erase and spread the news in Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with the total followed by #MAILCLEANUPDAY. We absolutely need you to use this hashtag otherwise it won’t be possible to sum all erased emails.

COMMENT CONNAITRE LE NOMBRE DE MAIL EFFACES ?
Voici ci-dessous quelques exemples des boites mails les plus connues. Les chiffres sont indiqués dans les carrés verts.
Pour Outlook, supprimer vos mails, puis faites clic droit sur "éléments supprimés". Cliquez sur "Propriétés", choisissez "synchronisation" et additionnez les deux chiffres indiqués ("hors connexion" et "serveur"). Refaites clic droit sur "Elements supprimés" et cliquez sur "vider le dossier" pour supprimer définitivement les mails.
